So for those of you who didn't know Andy and I decided to renovate a space on our first floor in to my own Salon. We chose to do this so that I could stay home with Owen and still have some income! It has turned out wonderful. I have started taking a few people this week when Andy gets home from work and it has turned out great! I am now a business owner!! It may be small but it is a start and I did all the licensing and zoning stuff on my own. So yes it is a legal!!! Here are some pictures.

5 weeks!
I have gotten so behind like I knew I would. The days just go by so quickly. I am lucky if I have got to take a shower by the time Andy gets home!
Owen is growing so much. He had his one month appointment last week and now weighs 10 pounds 7 ounces and is 23 inches long. He is a big boy and seems to never have enough to eat (ugh!!). He had a shot and I think it hurt me more than it hurt him...I am such a wimp.
This weekend Owen experienced his first UVa basketball game. He was so fascinated by all the lights and commotion. I was so surprised on how well he did. Looks like we will be attending a few more this season!

Time Flies!
I sit here in Indianapolis (on 4 hours of sleep in the last 24 hours) wondering where the last 3 1/2 weeks have gone. I can not believe that Owen will be four weeks old on Friday. He has changed so much. His eyes are wide open, he smiles a lot for mommy, and he is growing so much. I keep telling him not to grow up too fast.
Owen has got the chance to meet so many new people this past week. My mom had a party for him on Sunday. He proved he can hang with the crowd that keeps growing and growing. This next year the Hurrle clan will be adding 2 more additions to the mix so Owen won't be the youngest for long so we had to make sure he made his debut early.
Last night we went to my best friend Kim's house for her birthday. She has a five month old daughter Lilly. I met Lilly about 3 weeks after she was born. She is so big now. She made me realize that I need to make sure to remember these times because they fly by and before you know it the are sitting up, rolling over, and jumping around in their bouncy swing and you can't recall them ever being this small.
We will be leaving Indy this weekend to go back home. Lets hope that Owen is as well behaved on the way home as he was on the way here and that God blesses us with decent weather.
I know that daddy is missing us and can't wait to get home so he can see how much Owen's looks have been favoring him the last few days.
Here are some pictures from his newborn photo shoot. Enjoy and stay tuned for pics from the last 2 weeks!

Owen comes to Indy!
Owen and I will be coming to Indianapolis January 11th. I am so excited to introduce him to everyone. We are going to be driving back with Grandma Kathy. We may or may not be making a stop in Ohio to meet Owen's cousin Lilly that was born on the same day. It depends on how Owen is feeling...that is a long way for such a little one. Keep us in your thoughts and prays that we have a safe and joyful Travel...also that Daddy survives without us!

We Survived!
Happy New Year!!! Owen is officially 2 weeks old today! It is amazing how much he has changed in just the past five days. We survived a full five days on our own, and had a very eventful week. On Monday he had a fallow up appointment (to check his weight) with his absolutely wonderful pediatrician. He had gained 11 ounces in only 5 days!!!! He is now back to his birth weight and eating like a champ. Andy was so relieved and happy to hear that his little boy was such a big eater. Also given the fact that he is a little piggy, he has moved into size one diapers and newborn size clothing will no longer fit our big boy! He also lost his cord stump (what a relief), that thing makes a newborn belly not so pretty!
On Tuesday, having lost his stump and his small surgery being all healed up down there Owen was able to receive his first bath. He loved it he would have probably been content laying in the warm water all day. He seemed so relaxed and happy.
Little ones are so cute in hooded towels!!!
New Years Eve was uneventful. Andy and I had hoped to be asleep by midnight. The sleep part didn't happen but we were in bed and asleep soon after we wished each other a happy new year and kissed Owen and put him to bed. I am very excited to see what 2009 has in store for our family. Here are some pics that andy took...daddy has become quite the photographer.
This is Owen's favorite face to make...I have also been know to make this face on occasion:)
Owen's doggie outfit from Kim, Lilly, and Mrs. Thoben...so cute!
Some much needed tummy time after a long day.
I hope all of you enjoy the updates. For all of you colts fans I will make sure to get pictures of Owen in all of his colts gear tomorrow for the playoff game.
