Owen's First Wahoo Win!

Owen attended the UVa vs Clemson men's basketball game and witnessed his first Wahoo win! He was very interested in all the lights and sounds and watched the game with his mom. He also had time to take a picture with his Dad and seemed eager to grow up so he can be a Wahoo Ball Boy.

He is developing quite the personality and is all smiles in the morning and when I get home from work. We are getting into a nice routine as Owen is sleeping through the night, which is great for Mom and Dad. He's continuing to eat a lot and the Doctor says he's above average size for his age so I'm excited.

Stay tuned for more perspective from Dad!

Our Little Man!

Our Little man was two months old yesterday! Owen had a very eventful birthday. He had his 2 month checkup bright and early at 8:30 a.m. I have a feeling he knew what we were there to do because the screaming began as soon as the pediatrician walked in. We had he typical strip down to your diaper in a freezing cold room where they weighed (12 pounds 8 ounces), measure (24 ¾ inches long), and they poke and prod for 10 minutes, but this time it ending with 2 shots, one in each thigh. This brought on some screaming and then he fell quickly in to sleepy mode which gave mommy the opportunity to go to Sam’s Club to pick up some wine for her book club party that evening. By the time we got home Owen was all ready for his photo session in his cute birthday number stickers that his aunt Katie introduced us to. He was a delight and that is a good thing because I had a lot of things to do before 6:30 p.m. arrived. I told Owen he had to behave because mommy was throwing his first birthday party; I think he actually believed me. This probably won’t work by the time he is two, but I am going to try this trick every time  He was such a flirt at the book club, he gave all the girls his big grin. He also got to be held by his favorite mommy-to-be Kelly. We are going to have a heartbreaker on our hands! Here is a slide show of the last few weeks. He is growing fast so come visit soon!

Stay tuned for a blog from Daddy!

All smiles!

Owen is starting to have quite the personality. He smile at us all the time. Mornings are his favorite time...not so much mine! He is recognizing faces, well at least I think he is. When Andy comes home from work he looks at him a whole lot and responds to him.

Owen is also holding his head up. He can now sit in his bumbo seat. I can't help but laugh seeing him in it. It has definatly helped him to gain streangth in his neck. Her he is in his little seat.

Also last week Andy and I went out for our first time with out the little guy. He stayed with my friend Sylvia, who absolutely adores him, while we went to the Rascal Flatts concert. We had a great time but I did have to call and check in on him. He did great and got to be held the entire time.
